PAYMENT METHODS
Online
Payments online are processed safely and securely through Paypal by credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover), bank account transfer, or through your Paypal account, if you have one. (NOTE: You do not need a Paypal account to use this service.) The process is fast, secure and easy to follow. After submitting your order, you will receive an email confirmation with an order number and our contact information.
Money Orders
If you prefer to pay by money order, please send an email to service@silverglassart.com stating the item number and description of each item you wish to purchase. We will then send you an email confirmation with the total, including shipping, and the address to send your payment. Orders are shipped upon receipt of payment. If your payment is not received within 10 days of placing your order, the sale pending item(s) will be returned to stock.
SHIPPING
Shipping within the United States and Canada is $5.00 per order. Orders with merchandise sub-totalling $100.00 or more are shipped FREE. Orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail and include insurance and delivery confirmation. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Upon confirmation of payment, orders are shipped in 1 to 2 business days. Orders placed before 12:00 noon (PST) are often shipped the same day. You will receive an email confirming shipment of your order. Shipping outside the United States is $8.00 per order. Orders are shipped USPS First Class International and do not include insurance. If you would like to insure your International order, please email your package destination, zip code, etc, and we will reply with a shipping quote/and or availability. All orders are double-boxed with padding for safe delivery of your purchase.
RETURN POLICY
If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return it within 7 days of receipt for a refund, exchange or credit. Please send an email to service@silverglassart.com with your order number and request a Return Authorization number and shipping instructions. Items must be returned within 7 days of receipt in the original packaging and with a copy of your invoice. Items must be in their original/unworn condition. We strongly recommend insuring your package. We cannot be responsible for packages lost or damaged in shipping. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment. (Credit card refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your statement.) Shipping charges are non-refundable. We cannot accept returns or exchanges on custom orders.
REPAIRS
Repairs will be made free of charge for 90 days from date of purchase.
PRODUCT INFO / CARE
We take pride in our craftsmanship and use only high quality materials in our lampwork, jewelry and jewelry components.
Our lampwork beads are hand-wound using Effetre/Moretti, ASK, Vetrofond, Lauscha and Double Helix glass and will sometimes include fine silver, silver leaf, silver foil, copper, copper leaf and enamels. All lampwork is cleaned, kiln annealed to ensure its strength and durability and thoroughly inspected.
Materials used to create our jewelry include sterling silver, fine silver, precious metal clay, polymer clay, precious and semiprecious stones, shells, pearls, wood, beach glass, antique and vintage beads, African trade beads, bone, leather, suede, found objects and more.
Silver tarnishes over time and the tarnish is best removed by gentle polishing with a soft cloth or "Sunshine cloth", which can be purchased at a jewelry supply company and some jewelry stores. We don't recommend using commercial tarnish removers. Much of the silver we use in our jewelry is purposely oxidized to achieve a rich patina, which gives the piece a rustic, antiqued appearance. Use of commercial dips or polishes will remove this patina. Storing silver in air-tight plastic bags and out of direct sunlight will reduce tarnishing.
Lampwork, stones, gems and pearls can be cleaned in a solution of very gentle soap and water. Allow them to dry well before storing. Pearls need hydration and should not be stored in plastic bags or air-tight containers. It is a good practice to apply lotions, perfumes, hair products and cosmetics before putting on your jewelry.
With proper care and normal wearing conditions, your lampwork and jewelry can last a lifetime and longer.
